The main challenge of this home was to create flexible spaces that could adapt to different uses while simultaneously allowing for maximum storage capacity.

To achieve flexibility, we created a movable glass enclosure with bronze-lacquered framing which, thanks to the natural-fiber mesh inside it, forms a translucent screen that lets light pass through without revealing what’s behind. This generates the separation of two environments: the dining room and a second bedroom.

For the dining room, we also designed a versatile extendable table made of natural oak veneer which, combined with mustard and petrol-green AAC26 chairs by HAY, creates a warm interplay of color with the George Nelson clocks as a backdrop.

To optimize storage, we created an oak slat paneling that, on one hand,
conceals a large closet and, at the same time, integrates an ochre Valchromat niche used to display two large antique books of sentimental value.

We also gave the dining room an oxidized-toned porcelain floor with veins and reliefs that acts like a rug, defining the space without compartmentalizing it— a resource we use to differentiate functions within open-plan areas.

We combined all this functionality with an eclectic design that mixes colors, fabrics, and furniture to reflect the clients’ personality.

As for the colors, we chose warm tones such as orange and dried-leaf green for decorative elements, ochre for the upholstery fabrics, and brown leather for the armchairs.

As for the fabrics, we opted for soft, welcoming materials such as linen, cotton, and the rust-colored velvet that upholsters the custom headboard in the master bedroom.

And the furniture includes distinctive pieces such as the animal-print rug in the living room and the mustard-toned Up-Lift sofa by Prostoria, which rotates completely to become a bed for guests.

Our project caught the attention of Mi Casa magazine, which featured it in a full report showcased in this video.

Un lugar a tu medida no solo expresa tu mundo, también lo hace crecer.
